A vast L shaped open plan, open to the elements living area sparkles with dappled sunlight and dominates the front of the house. Here you will find the inviting waters of your own private pool which features a shady, shallow end suitable for the children. There is bountiful bespoke vintage inspired seating, a dining area and a show kitchen.

To the rear is the majestic antique house which houses 3 large king size suites, an 8 bed children’s bunkhouse and an atmospheric king size loft room. Further to this is an extensive spa, a study and a beautifully decorated interior living room. Each room is finished with the excellence you would expect from a property of this calibre and your every comfort is a top priority. Another 1st floor open terrace offers a BBQ area and potential for a party of up to 30 guests making this the ideal location for a very special tropical wedding.

In fact, everything about this property is exceptional including the fact that the chef was trained at the renowned Sardine restaurant and the vehicle that can be hired is a fully renovated chauffeur driven VW van.

Living areas

There are an abundance of living areas supplied both inside and outside so as guests can enjoy both the comfort of the air-conditioning and the pleasure of Bali’s balmy weather. The expansive terrace around the pool, decorated with touches of the 1960’s and patterns that blend with the elaborate carvings of the plantation house, provides the ultimate place to recline with your family and friends. This, no doubt, will become the epicentre of your holiday activities especially for the children as there is a sand pit, an easel and a table for the little ones to play on. Furthermore there is a 10 seater dining table, a show kitchen and a working kitchen fully enclosed to the rear.

On the 1st floor, a formal interior living room decorated with magnificent colonial influence offers a cool cocoon to watch movies on the large Satellite TV or play some board games. The BBQ terrace is reached from here via glass and timber patio doors and overlooks the splendour of the pool and the leafy surroundings of the villa.

Further to this is an expansive spa and wellness centre, located to the rear of the plantation house on the ground floor. This comprises of a sunken bath, a massage room and two separate shower rooms creating the perfect space to revel in the fabulous range of supplementary spa services that can be ordered in.

Staff

A full complement of staff serve this fairy-tale villa and include a dedicated villa manager, 2 housekeeping staff, a butler and night time security. Additionally a whole range of supplementary services can be supplied on request and at extra charge. Villa 1880 is also blessed with the service of a talented chef who has designed a series of succulent set menus including a Balinese Feast, some divine comfort food options and a special selection for children.

Location

The villa is perfectly located between the hipster neighbourhood of Canggu with its well-known surfing beaches and the fashionable area of Seimyak with its excellent selection of restaurants, spas and trendy boutiques including the infamous beach clubs The W, Potato Head and Ku De Ta. Ideally, it is only a leisurely 10 minute stroll from the house to the black sands of Batu Belig beach and an even shorter distance to a few fine eateries such as Watercress, Naughty Nuris and Hog in the Wild. These are interspersed with a selection of juice bars, ice cream parlours and shops. A little further is the famous spot La Laguna and about a kilometre along the road is the Canggu Club with its wealth of facilities including a water park, trampolining and 10 pin bowling.
